riding on ponies & carousel

My sis and i decided to make this the other day to reminiscene the good ole taste. haha. I know u guys are guessing what this is right? This is my childhood snack, Rice krispies treats!! it's uber yummy and super addictive but a tad sweet!!!

anyway we didnt care much if it's sweet cus kids love all those sugar rush! lol. not sure if you guys know about this snack though. but i remember when i was young (like in pri sch) and still staying at my old house, my siblings and i will always head down to the provision shop or if not the mama shop further across the road and buy this after school (oh and iceberg and other tidits too!) and then we will head to the playground and play with a bunch of pple staying arnd that area or play soccer with my brother's friends, head to my friends' house and play or we would find a drain and go fish/prawn catching. There's so much more stuffs and adventures we did when we were young, it's hard for me to list everything down here. and now thinking of this, i miss my childhood times soo much! it was so enjoyable and carefree. :)

and i'm surprised my parents were not very strict with us those days, we would head off to play after school and came back during the evening time just right for dinner or even sometimes when the night falls. and if i remember correctly, i tink we did that almost everyday. hurhur.

Although it doesn't taste exactly the same as years go, but i still love this treat! so chewy and delicious!!! too bad they cease this product from coming to Singapore and the only way to get this is through online but still, the taste has somewhat changed to accommodate the health conscious people nowadays. it doesn't taste as sweet and the price is quite steep as we need to order in dozen and pay for the shipping fees so we decided to make this ourselves instead and it's so much more cheaper!!! :)

anyway i had a short dinner with jess and pinky on tues. it was quite impromptu as she msged me 2 hrs before the meetup! but nonetheless, i'm still game for this!! HAHA. impromptu can be fun at times too :) oh, and Pinky is such a darling to treat us for this meal! so sweet of her! But the queue at Cathay was madness!! note to self: never to go on weekends, lunch or dinner time! :P

and then we spent abt 45 mins in the toilet cus jess was trying to put on the contact lens. it looks great on her and her eyes seems brighter and bigger! haha. and now i have the sudden urge to put it on too!! Gonna try Freshlook contact lens someday. i never tried putting on contact lens before and although i see how jess had a tough time putting and taking it out hers, but it's still worth a try though! :)
